My old insurance guy and one of my parents’ best friends, Dave Dunker, was telling me that he and his wife have golfed in I believe it was 31 states together, and it’s one of their goals to play in all of them. What an awesome goal!
I have been working on an article about John Krueger for Midwest Golfing Magazine recently, and John has played every single public course in the state of Wisconsin, and has only 9 private clubs and 82 nine-hole courses to finish off the state.
Milestones like these inspire me to create some of my own. I don’t know if I will ever be able to play every public course in the state – I honestly don’t have interest in playing a lot of them and have an 8-5 job Monday through Friday, but I would like to play in as many different states, and as many different types of courses as possible. So far, I have played in:
- Wisconsin
- Illinois
- Michigan
- Minnesota
- Iowa
- Ohio
- Florida
- South Carolina
- California
- Oregon
- Washington
- Idaho
If you're going to get spammed on your golf blog, I guess Matt Kuchar is a pretty good person to spam you. It's amazing he still finds time in his busy schedule to copy and paste about Scottsdale Golf Club!
This blog is very interesting. Thanks for these posts. Scottsdale have beautiful Golf Clubs which have awesome locations & it is difficult to choose a Scottsdale Golf Club for membership among them.
