Since starting to work from home for my day job this past July, I have been trying to find good ways to furnish my home office. I started with all photos of golf courses that I have taken in the past, and last month (January, 2015) decided to start trying to draw and paint.
I am far from a professional, but I enjoy it and am learning a lot as I go, and this page will be both dedicated to my own artistic journey as well as to the great pieces of artwork that I see and buy along the way.
My first ever drawing/watercolor was finished in January, 2015, and is my best rendition of me teeing off on the 15th at Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, Washington. This tree will be on-screen a lot during the 2015 US Open, and was recently named the “Most Iconic Tree in Golf.”
My current and recent projects include:
Current project: #3 at Dismal River Golf Club, Jack Nicklaus course (Mullen, NE):
Recent project: #11 at Madden’s Resort, the Classic course, in Brainerd, MN:
Recent project: My friend, Norm Schulz, on the 12th hole at North Hills Country Club in Menomonee Falls, WI:
Recent project: 7th hole at Old Macdonald at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort:
