Here in the Midwest, we all yearn to start the golf season with a bang after months indoors spent dreaming of immaculate days on the links in perfect weather.

The reality is, the season often starts with a whimper. Bitter temps, high wind and rain define the early spring season, and combined with a rusty golf swing it can make for some ugly rounds.

And then, to top it off, there’s mud.

Inevitably, if you play golf this time of year, you’re going to encounter LOTS of mud as the turf slowly comes back to life and contends with melting snow and seasonally high rain.

In these conditions, it’s crucial to keep your equipment clean and dry – in partucular, maintaining spotless grooves can add a little shine to your spring golf game.

Enter the club brush, an accessory that’s picked up steam in the golf world in recent years. We’ve seen great innovation in this space, with manufacturers devising methods to combine a water spray with a strong brush to give players on-demand ability to keep their clubs squeaky clean during the grind of a round.

I’ve tried out a few of these brushes the past few seasons, but this year I’ve found a brand that I believe is head and shoulders above the rest – Caddy Splash.

In the New Product section of the PGA Show this past January, Caddy Splash proudly displayed their product with reps handing out free samples to interested show attendees.

I was intrigued, mainly due to one simple feature of the club brush that has caused frustration in my past experiences – the way it attaches to the bag.

Other models I’ve tried have had flmsy magnetic attachments which proved to be woefully inadequate and unreliable. Think it’s easy to lose a rangefinder? Well, it can be even easier to lose a club brush with a magnetic attachment – even the slightest bump in the cart path or shuffling of your equipment can dislodge it. Indeed, I lost a few before giving up on these types of models.

Caddy Splash’s Golf Club Water Brush Pro has a clip-on attachment that’s much more reliable than a magnet, ensuring you can keep it by your side for the long haul without annoying calls to the pro shop about lost equipment.

Using the brush on the course couldn’t be easier – simply grab it and pull it to your club, and the brush rectracts from a chain that extends out a couple feet.

With an ergamonic pistol grip and a center push button, this item will seamlessly become an extension of your golf bag, and I’ve actually been excited to keep my grooves clean in the midst of a round.

The Golf Club Water Brush Pro delivers a reliable spray that’s usually strong enough to clean a club with just one or two pushes of the button

Large nylon bristles will remove all of the mud off a club with ease, even if it’s caked and embedded deep in the grooves. The spray level is strong and consistent, usually only requiring one push of the button to give your club the necessary shine. To top it off, a water refill line makes it easy to check if you need to add water prior to playing.

Add it all up and it’s a brush that checks all the boxes in terms of functionality and ease of use.

The Georgia Bundle Pack – Accessories, with Style

The Georgia Bundle Pack includes a green brush with gold lettering (which especially resonates with me as a Packers fan) and a matching white-and-green towel, a sharp look paired against my white Vessel bag. I usually wash my golf towels only sparingly, but have made a point to keep my Caddy Splash towel consistently clean to maximize the look of my overall golf bag setup.

I love the color combo of the Georgia Bundle Pack, and it will especially make an impression on Packer Sundays!

Closing Thoughts

The Golf Club Water Brush Pro is the best club brush I’ve used, and its reasonable price of $24.99 is similar to other brands in the market; it won’t set you back much to enjoy best-in-class functionality.

With standout performance and the sleek look of the Georgia Bundle Pack, my clubs have an extra shine to them this spring, and I would highly recommend this brand to help get you through the early mud season and beyond.
