I never put much thought into golf gloves in the past. I’d usually just grab whatever was on the shelf in the pro shop, simply making sure that I had the correct sizing. What I started realizing in recent seasons, though, was that I was burning through golf gloves at an alarming rate. Playing two or three times per week, I’d find my gloves shriveled up or showing signs of tears merely a few weeks in. And on days that I forgot to grab a new one at the shop, playing with an old, worn out glove did NOT help my golf game, I can assure you.
With my golf bag quickly becoming a graveyard of crusty, unusable gloves, something had to change.
Fortunately I came across the Beaver Golf booth at the PGA Show this past winter, a brand that offers a glimpse into the potential of high-quality, all-purpose golf gloves. This German-based company had several samples on display and I was initially impressed with their sleek look and design.

The Beaver rep gave me a rundown of materials that make these gloves a great all-weather option, the company’s mission and the general importance of having a high-quality golf glove. I was so intrigued that Beaver was one of the top brands I wanted to test out following the PGA Show.

Material and Performance
Featuring AAA Cabretta leather, Beaver’s All Season Ultra gloves provide a smooth feel with strong grip, and the material is fungible enough to support smaller sizing to the specific dimensions of your hands. These gloves fit my hand snugly and I’m able to enjoy a nice grip on the club without excess material causing a nuisance.
“What a feel! Beaver Gloves fit great with a substantial leather build that gives me confidence it’ll be in my bag for awhile. I love the cool Blue Skies colorway and can’t wait to get a few others to work with all my favorite golf outfits!”

Beaver’s patented rain-repellent material also opened my eyes at the PGA Show as I’ve always struggled to find a suitable rain glove. While these are not rain gloves per se, I’ve found that they stay impressively dry either in rainy conditions or on hotter days when my hands sweat. In contrast to a traditional rain glove where I’ve found the grip to be suboptimal, with Beaver’s All Season Ultra gloves I can maintain a strong grip even in wet conditions.

Style
Coming in eight stylish colors, Beaver has enough options for you to pair your handwear with the rest of your outfit, rounding out your overall look on the course. I’ve sampled four of the color options and found that the Cognac Brown fit my style the best, but I also like the look of the Sunshine Yellow and Blue Skies options.

Beaver’s logo is distinctive and trendy, proudly displayed on the center of the glove. Something about it gives me a confidence boost when I put the glove on at the beginning of a round.

Closing Thoughts
Beaver is Europe-based, so all their prices are quoted in Euros, but after crunching the numbers an All Day Ultra Glove comes out to $38 (including shipping to the U.S.) and with WiscoGolfAddict’s exclusive 10% discount using the discount code “wisco10” these high-tech gloves can be yours for a price comparable to whatever you’ll find on the rack of a pro shop.
I have certainly performed well in these gloves and while a great golf glove might only yield marginal gains in performance, every little bit of improvement is crucial in this challenging game.
When you consider the stylish look of the gloves and the company’s mission to take care of the environment, this is definitely a brand worth checking out for your hand needs in the future.
