I was fortunate to have the opportunity to test the Blue Tees Series 4 Ultra rangefinder and it did not disappoint! The Series 4 Ultra is the latest offering from Blue Tees and blends performance, style, and convenience seamlessly. Blue Tees has become a top-tier choice for golfers who want reliable distance measurements with a premium design.

Right out of the box, it has a sleek and clean look making a strong first impression. There is really no need to read any user guides or hunt for instructions. The Series 4 Ultra is so simple to use – just point at the flag, press the button, and you’ve got your distance.

So what is really the difference between the latest Blue Tees Series 4 and previous models? The styling is similar to that of the Series 3 Max but with some notable upgrades and features added.

Improved Accuracy: Half-yard accuracy helps with more confident club selection.
Waterproofing: IP54 rating ensures it handles wet conditions better.
Sharper Display: Enhanced clarity and contrast, especially in bright sunlight.

Blue Tees continues to deliver some key features that I love. First, is the brightness and clarity of the display making it very easy to read distances, even in bright sunlight or low-light conditions. Second, the external slope on Blue Tees products is the best I have tested. There’s no question whether slope mode is on – the external switch is clear and secure, so it won’t get accidentally toggled during use.

The Series 4 Ultra also comes with 3 CR2 batteries. In the world of rechargeable devices I see this as a big plus actually as it is one less thing to worry about. I have been able to get 1-2 seasons out of a battery so you should be set for years to come.

The included case also deserves praise, no flimsy soft case here! A compact, durable, and highly functional clip-on case that’s easy to attach to your bag. It’s rugged and protects the device from weather yet it’s designed for quick access.

While it seems that this should be a standard feature on all devices the built-in magnetic strip on the Series 4 Ultra is the strongest one I have used. Even on rough paths, or on your club face when walking to the green, the magnet held strong and I never worried about losing it.

Considering all these features, the $299 price point is extremely competitive. You’re getting a feature-rich, well-designed device that performs like higher-priced rangefinders but at a much more accessible cost. As far as a major upgrade from the Series 3 that may be more subjective. I think there are definite improvements with speed and accuracy but for some it may not justify an upgrade. If you are looking for your first rangefinder the Series 4 Ultra is something that will last you a long time and be a great value.
