While on a golf trip last weekend for my cousin’s 40th birthday, we played Willbrook Plantation in Pawley’s Island, South Carolina. This was a nice course – well maintained with quick greens and tight layouts, an abundance of water and sand, and a lot of interesting centuries old historical sites.

On the 12th hole, I found myself licking my chops at a huge green on a par three. That’s when this happened…

Hole 12: Par 3 (199/180/156/110)
Hole 12: Par 3 (199/180/156/110)

Not being able to see the ball from my stance, had to take an unplayable lie and drop in the sand. Now, this was the definition of a blow-up hole!
