I was pretty excited about my 41/41 on Thursday night, but was even more excited after this weekend.

Continuing my journey toward being a single-digit handicap, I started out Saturday morning’s money game by shooting a 47 on the front. I was starting to worry my better game was just a fluke. Making the turn, my game improved dramatically, doubling the tenth but then birdying 12 and 13, and leaving my birdie putt on 14 on the lip for three straight. I finished the back with a 37 (+2), then played another 18 with my friend, Eric, and shot a 37 on the front (+1) and 42 on the back, which is my all-time best round with a 79 (+8 gross, -6 net!).

Yesterday was a little of the same: Tough front nine on the River course at Blackwolf Run – 47 – followed by a solid back of 41. Five three-putts didn’t help, but I’m hopeful that my game is really turning the corner in a positive direction and can’t wait to see what the rest of the season has in store!
