Over the past couple of weeks, I have been re-molding my top ten lists for the state of Wisconsin.
This was a great season for me with regards to reviewing some of the state’s [and country’s] best golf courses, and especially after the months of July and August when I was able to play all four Kohler courses in consecutive weekends, my top ten lists for best par threes, fours and fives were shaken up considerably.
Without further ado, I present to you my newly updated top ten lists, including the best hole for each category in the great state of Wisconsin:
The Best: Whistling Straits, Straits course #17
Hole 17: Par 3 (249/223/197/165/131)
The Best: Blackwolf Run, Meadow Valleys course #14
Hole 14: Par 4 (423/409/384/376/293)
The Best: University Ridge #16
Hole 16: Par 5 (554/533/514/434)
The Best: Erin Hills
Hole 16: Par 3 (200/184/163/143/126)
These rankings remain ever-changing, and next season will hopefully provide me a chance to finally play and/or review more of Wisconsin’s best courses, including Troy Burne, House on the Rock, The Legend at Bergamont, Trappers Turn, and others.
I still do not have my laptop back, but am looking forward to getting it fixed and being reunited with all of my course photography so I can show you all some of the great courses I had a chance to play this year, especially the new SentryWorld. If you have yet to hear about Robert Trent Jones, Jr’s renovation work there, you will have to make sure to check back often for my updated course review.
I wish you all a safe and happy holidays season, and a very Merry Christmas!
Best regards,
Paul aka WiscoSportsAddict
