G-Tech Hand Warmers: Heated Convenience On Your Side

If you are a Midwest golfer you know that there are rounds throughout the season that make you question why you live here. Golf becomes as much a battle of your swing as it does the elements. And if you’re like me, you have tried everything under the sun to keep warm out on the course.

One of the biggest pains is keeping your hands warm. Bulky gloves are a pain to take off, and you have to leave them on the ground when it’s your shot. Hot Hands seem to be hit or miss as to whether or not they get warm, and then they only last for about 5 holes. Well, I have found the perfect solution for you: The G-Tech Hand Warmer.

Setup

The unit comes nicely packaged as you can see from the photos, and setting up your handwarmer is straightforward. There is a removable battery that needs to be charged with the included cable. Once that is complete, simply connect the battery to the hand warmer and you are ready to go. The waist strap is easily adjustable and I would recommend making sure it is loose enough that you can swivel the pouch behind your back during shots.

Out on the Course

I started this past season using a different non-heated hand warmer pouch, so I felt comfortable wearing this during a round. It does take some getting used to if you are going to leave this clipped on your waist. I simply swivel the pouch behind me when I swing and found no issue with it getting in the way.

Having the G-Tech hand warmer is honestly a game changer. Fumbling to put on gloves or tucking your hands in your jacket hoping that the Hot Hands packet still has warmth is just tiresome.

Run-Time / Heat

The hand warmer has 3 heat settings (high, medium, low). The directions recommend turning it on high for 5 minutes to get the pouch nice and warm and then leave on a medium or low setting. The battery is supposed to last between 3 and 12 hours depending on the heat setting you leave it on. I found that a medium setting was plenty warm and I was able to get through 18 holes with no problems.

Features

The coolest feature of this is the internal heat bar. I have taken a picture below so you can see. Basically, the heating element is a padded bar that runs down the middle of the pouch. You are able to grab this bar with your hands and get instant heat. It also provides warmth to the surrounding lined pocket so your whole hand feels nice and toasty. There is also a nice, large, lined zipper pocket on the top of the unit. I kept an extra ball and glove in there to stay warm throughout the round.

If you need a good gift idea or you are a golfer who goes out regardless of the elements, this is the accessory you need. I cannot say enough about how much of a game changer having one of these on the course is and I had everyone asking me about it. You will love having one of these hanging around your waist the next time you’re out playing golf in the cold.
