The All Day Ripstop golf shoes from True Linkswear live up to their name. This is the first golf shoe I have owned that can take me from the car to the course to the restaurant. A minimalist design with an ultra-slim profile and even smaller weight, this is a great all-around summer shoe to add to your collection.
Sizing / Color
The Ripstop is offered in sizes 7-15 with half sizes along the way. Although there is no wide option, I did not find it to be needed. I ordered my usual 11.5 size shoe and they fit perfectly. The polyester material stretches to accommodate any shape foot while still providing great support.

The Ripstop is offered in 6 colors ranging from Olive to Deep Sea. There are some classic colors like gray, white and black, but I like the unique colors they offer, as well. This would definitely be a shoe I would own in multiple colors!

The shoes come packaged with a nice reusable bag for storing and transporting. The company is all about sustainability, so you wont find any shoe boxes here!

Out on the Course
The moment I slipped these on my first thought was “these shoes are light.” After walking my first nine holes I felt like I could do another 27 in the Ripstops and had no idea I was even wearing them. I love the wool lining, and even on hot days my feet were perfectly comfortable.
If you are like me I struggle to find golf shoes that look good while wearing shorts. I know it may not be a problem for everyone, but I think some shoes just don’t look good with anything but long pants. The RipStops are the perfect solution to this shorts dilemma – they look great with shorts!
Another one of my favorite features of these shoes is the detailing. The accent strap on the back and the color on the toe give them just the right touch of flair.

The bottom spiked sole is not your typical pattern or texture. A hardened rubber makes up the sole and, although at first I was skeptical, I found there to be plenty of traction even on wet and uneven lies. The great thing about the sole is that I had no issues with traction walking into the clubhouse afterwards and could wear them anywhere a normal tennis shoe would go.

The shoe is advertised as water and wind resistant, and I would agree that is a fair assessment. These are not all-weather shoes and I would not pull them out for a rainy round. They will protect you, however, from that morning dew or light sprinkle. The minimalist nature of the Ripstops also does not make them extremely warm. I would not wear these shoes for rounds under 50 degrees.
Make Room for These?
I have found myself wearing these shoes for pretty much every round I can. If I know the weather is going to be nice and I am doing a lot of walking, these are on my feet. I absolutely love them. I further appreciate TRUE’s efforts to recycle materials and minimize environmental impact with their shoes.
I think the price point of $150 is reasonable for a new pair of high-quality shoes like these, and the styling and color options are such that they will find their way to your feet for years to come.
