This past summer I re-discovered Plum Lake, a Golden Age delight tucked away in the Northwoods, and one of the best 9-hole properties in the state.
While the idea behind this post is not original, it's a fun practice and one I've tried a dozen or so times in the past but got too frustrated to finish. I decided to give it a go again, especially as I reflect on what was a great season of golf in Wisconsin and look forward to 2023.

I knew I was in for a treat when I was asked to play Green Bay Country Club, but I had no idea how much of a treat that was going to be. Green Bay CC is one of the top 3 private golf courses I've played in the state. There's not a more dramatic course or golf landscape in Wisconsin - not even in Sheboygan. Green Bay is the best golf course hardly anybody knows about.
