The holidays can be stressful. Between work, friends and family Christmas parties and the million things to do, it’s hard to feel like you’re ever caught up and ready for the big day.
Christmas presents can be a big source of that stress. Are you gifting too little? Too much? Are your presents personal enough?
My goal with this guide is to give you some tried and true gift ideas to help relieve your holiday stress.
My brother, Mike, always gives his favorite things as presents. One year he got me Merrell hiking boots (amazing, and I will touch on that brand in this article), another his favorite tool chest (filled with booze and other goodies) and another his favorite winter coat.
Coming from him, somebody I love and whose judgment I trust, I knew I’d love them, too.
I have since inherited the same mentality when it comes to gift giving – get them the things I know to be amazing that are as targeted toward them as possible. Last year I got everyone in my family heated jackets or vests, and the year before heated socks, hats and gloves. Another year I got everyone packs of Bombas socks and slippers.
Seriously, if you are looking for the best present for people you don’t mind spending a bit of money on, heated gear is the way to go! Ororo vests, Weston jackets, hats and gloves, heated hand pouches from G-Tech (for the golf or hunting enthusiast in your life) or a layer from Volt Heat will be used excessively over the winter and be the envy of everybody they come in contact with.
For everything you need to know about heated apparel, plus lots of discounts:
Heated Apparel Buying Guide: Stay Hot When the Winter Cools with Great Deals
Heated apparel will be the next major trend to take the Midwest by storm, and this weekend will be your best opportunity to take advantage of massive discounts (some even combined with our exclusive discount codes!) to join a community of golfers and other folks using technology to stay warm in the cold.
Looking to spend a little less? Maybe splurge on somebody really special? My goal with this guide is to give you all kinds of options for all kinds of price categories – both for golfers and non-golfers.
Whether you’re looking for stocking stuffers or big displays of love and appreciation, I hope you find a great idea or two in this year’s WiscoGolfAddict Holiday Gift Guide.
Keep in mind almost all of these brands and products will have special sales and deals for Black Friday, Cyber Monday and the days leading up to the holidays. Many of the discount codes included in this guide will work on top of those deals, but some won’t.
Be sure to check their websites (linked in this article) for the best possible pricing before buying, and if you have any questions feel free to reach out to me at paul@wiscogolfaddict.com. I’ll be happy to help.
Without further adieu, Let’s dig in!
Stocking Stuffers
Especially if you’ve got a big main present, it’s great to throw in a few ancillary gifts to continue the unwrapping.
One of the main things I give for stocking stuffers is lottery tickets. Those things, especially the big $15-25 ones for the holidays season are always a hit and we’ve had some pretty big wins on them over the years. I can’t link those (and haven’t reviewed them on the site), though, so here are some other great options!
Seamus Golf Gear
If you don’t know what kinds of accessories they’ll want for sure, get them a Seamus Golf gift card. I’ve bought a number of these over the years as gifts – for the groomsmen in my wedding, as thank you’s for kindness and birthday and Christmas presents.
Seamus has the coolest gear in all of golf. Their products are incredibly well made, personal to each player and will never, ever go out of style.
A few tried and approved holiday present ideas I’ve gone with over the years include their club headcovers, scorecard holders, travel pouches/toiletry bags and hand-forged ball markers and divot repair tools.

Bombas Socks
Bombas discount: 20% off 1st order with link
As I mentioned earlier, Bombas socks are one of my go-to gifts for any occasion.
There is a reason they’re gift-worthy, and it’s because they are far superior to almost any other sock on the market today. Plus, they have cool colors and patterns.
I know, socks? Really?
Yes, trust me. I have over 70 pairs of socks and only four that are non-Bombas (the others are from Hollow and SwingJuice).
If you’re unsure what size to buy, I’ve found the ankle and quarter socks to be perfect for playing golf in (ankle shown in photo) – you want the sock to clear the top of your shoe, but usually not much more than that if wearing shorts.

SwingJuice
SwingJuice discount code: WISCO20 for 20% off SwingJuice
One of my top three all-time favorite golf brands, I put SwingJuice under “Stocking Stuffers” instead of apparel because they have so many things you can buy.
My son loves his SwingJuice golf and baseball apparel (they also have a full pickleball line), and so do I.
SwingJuice has some of the most fun, creative t-shirts on the market today and are priced to sell.
When you or the person you’re buying for feels their tee shirt fabric, you’ll be getting a lot more of SwingJuice.

The Ultimate On-Course Accessory: The Groove-It Brush
Groove-It discount code: WISCO10 for 10% off Groove-It
I swear by my Groove-It Brush, and over the past few years a lot of my playing partners have joined me in the revolution of having a better, faster way to clean clubs on the course.
Simply add a drop of dish soap and water to the cylinder and you’ll be prepared to keep your irons and wedges clean all round. These things are AWESOME – a must-get in the under-$25 category for the golf enthusiasts in your life (or you).

Pins & Aces
Pins & Aces discount code: WISCO30 for 30% off Pins & Aces
Pins & Aces is one of the most verbose golf companies in the industry, selling unique headcovers, bags, ball markers, apparel and… maybe my favorite, the Liquor Sticks and Beer Sleeves.
That’s right, these accessories fit in your golf bag to hold and keep cold six or seven beers, or a full 750 mL of booze with a push tap coming out of your golf bag’s dividers.

Beaver Gloves

Do you know a golf enthusiast who is infatuated with a certain color? Get a Beaver Golf glove or two to throw in their stocking!

Hollow Socks
Hollow Socks are wonderful. Made from alpaca wool, these are unique socks that are ideal for warm weather golf, skiing or snowboarding. The reason? Alpaca wool is moisture-wicking, temperature-regulating, antimicrobial, hypoallergenic and odorless.
Their ski socks are unbeatable and I’ve come to know their no-show socks, especially, to be extremely comfortable. Looking to try out a new, tech-forward clothing essential? Hollow Socks could be just the thing.
Hollow will be running huge sales throughout the holidays – snag them early for up to 40% off.

Books: Playing From the Rough, by Jimmie James
Jimmie James has become a bit of a golf celebrity over the past few years, even appearing multiple times in Golf Digest. After retiring as an executive from a wildly successful 33-year career with Exxon-Mobil, Jimmie needed a new goal: To play the country’s top 100 golf courses according to Golf Digest… in a single year.
Playing from the Rough tells Jimmie’s wonderful story, from an impoverished childhood in Jim Crow East Texas to the tees and greens of America’s most exclusive private clubs. As he reflects on his experiences and learnings it is impossible not to see what I have come to know about him: He is one of the smartest, most thoughtful and grateful people I have ever had the pleasure of spending time with.
If you’re looking for a wonderful golf-related story that is sure to open your mind and your heart, this is it.

Favorite BlueTooth Golf Speaker: TecTecTec Team8
The Team8 by TecTecTec is tiny, powerful enough and stylish. And they’re a great deal! If you’re looking for a really cool little Bluetooth speaker, I highly recommend the Team8.

Sunglasses for Golf: ActiveDim
ActiveDim discount: 15% off with link on ActiveDim
ActiveDim’s photochromic material automatically adjusts to the level of light it’s exposed to, which means the lenses get lighter in low-light conditions and darker in bright sunshine. This makes them the perfect eyewear for playing golf in.

Heated Apparel for the “Shoulder Seasons”
Heated apparel discount codes:
– WISCO20 for 20% off Ororo
– GOLFSALE for 20% off Weston Heat
– WISCOGOLFADDICT for 20% off Volt Heat
– WISCOGOLFADDICT for 10% off G-Tech
As I talked about in the opening paragraphs, I think heated apparel is the greatest thing since electric caddies. This is gear that will be used a lot and that whoever you give these pieces to is going to absolutely cherish.
While the price tags can get pretty high, there are always big deals around the holidays and our exclusive discount codes can often be stacked with existing promotions to make them much more affordable.
I go over all my recommendations in my Heated Apparel Buying Guide, but suffice it to say I think the best overall gift is a vest. In my humble opinion, I think Ororo makes the best vest, but they’re all awesome.
Here are my four favorite brands of heated gear:

My Favorite Apparel Brands
The team at WiscoGolfAddict.com tests and reviews a lot of golf apparel, and here are some of our favorites for the 2024 season and beyond.
Galway Bay
Galway Bay discount code: WISCO25 for 25% off Galway Bay
Currently in the end of the 2024 shoulder season (fall), the next time a Wisconsin golf enthusiast will hit the course will be in the next shoulder season (spring).
Weather conditions can get pretty iffy until May or June, so it’s important to have versatile apparel that will allow them to play their best during cold, windy and generally inclement weather.
No brand makes better all-weather gear than Galway Bay.
If the golfer in your life (or you) has a trip on the books to Europe or Bandon, by the way, having some Galway Bay outerwear at their disposal is absolutely essential!

Holderness & Bourne
In just its ninth year in business, H&B has become the new standard for ultra-cool, high-end golf apparel in the golf industry. Found in the pro shops of 90% of all top 100 golf courses in the country, Holderness & Bourne prides itself on classic styles with excellent quality.
I love H&B’s golf polos and their new Baxter corduroys are quickly becoming my go-to pants, but my absolute favorite products from their line are their layers. The classic Ward Sweater with its diamond jacquard knit pattern and the Ashby Vest, for example, cannot be beat.

Hypernatural
Co-Founded by a local Elm Grove native, HyperNatural’s distinctive fabrics feel cool to the touch with a luxurious style and fit perfect for hot summer rounds on Wisconsin golf courses.
Cool and extremely comfortable, HyperNatural invented the first-ever fabric made from jade stone and crab shells. Jade stone is known to increase blood circulation while reducing inflammation, helping soothe and calm irritated or inflamed skin while looking great. This is a very high-end golf apparel company with polos I’ve loved wearing over the past season!

Sunday Swagger
Dads! Do you have a younger son who also plays golf? Want the ultimate coordinated golf experience with him? Find your favorite Sunday Swagger golf polos on their website, and then get the same one for your kid. Trust me, they’ll love it!
Sunday Swagger has one of the best overall collections of golf clothing on the market today, including prints you won’t find anywhere else. Said Founder Mark Carmona: “We can’t guarantee you’ll make a hole-in-one, but we can guarantee you’ll have the coolest shirt out there on the course.”
Sunday Swagger’s apparel is also really well-priced – adult polos are $59-$64 apiece while kids’ versions are priced at $39. Using our exclusive link you’ll get an extra 15% off, too.

Primo Shorts, Pants & Joggers
Primo discount code: WISCO for 15% off Primo
My top three brands for golf bottoms are Primo Golf, Holderness & Bourne and BirdDogs.
Each fits a different price point with H&B being the most expensive ($155-170/pair for pants, $120-125/pair for shorts), BirdDogs a bit less ($119/pair for pants, $69/pair for shorts) and Primo a bit lower still ($89/pair for pants, $69/pair for shorts).
Primo’s golf apparel is incredibly athletic feeling, and their joggers are purposely designed for golf with a slightly short fit (to keep cuffs off the ground and clean, plus with zipped bottoms to let your ankles air out).
Of course, our exclusive 15% discount code (WISCO) will bring those prices down, as well. If you haven’t tried out Primo yet, they’re a great up-and-coming brand!

Golf Equipment
A rangefinder is a great present for any golf enthusiast who doesn’t already have a great one. My top 5 rangefinders on the market right now include the Precision Pro NX10, Garmin Z82, Bushnell Tour V6 Shift, the Cobalt Q-6 Slope (the Q-4 Slope is also a fantastic less expensive option) and Pinned Prizm.
Rangefinders
Rangefinder discount codes:
– WISCO for 15% off Shot Scope
– WISCO10 for 10% off Blue Tees
– WISCO for 10% off Omada
– WISCO15 for 15% off Pinned
– WISCO5 for 5% off GoGoGo
A good rangefinder can be a significant investment, and the one thing you don’t want to do (unless you’re seriously looking for a simple device that costs a few bucks, in which case I’d recommend something like the Gogogo GS34 or GS19 – use discount code WISCO5 for an extra 5% off) is buy something with that investment that’s not going to meet your needs or expectations.
One of the most important things to look for is a rangefinder that’s stable and easy to lock onto pins so you’re not reshooting distances over and over and still unsure what the actual number is. Our Rangefinder Buying Guide goes over that and everything else that should be considered in more detail:
Rangefinder Buying Guide: Which Rangefinder is Right for You?
If you’ve yet to enter the world of getting immediate yardages, or if you’re looking to upgrade the equipment you’re currently using, chances are your head’s spinning shopping for rangefinders. It’s hard to discern the differences between them online, they’re expensive with significant price spreads and everyone claims to be “fast and accurate.”
With that, my top five rangefinder recommendations for 2024 include:
In case you’re curious, in order of price (low to high) they go:
- Pinned Prism (MSRP ~ $199) – use code WISCO for 15% off
- Precision Pro NX10 Slope (MSRP ~ $299)
- Bushnell Tour V6 Shift (MSRP ~ $399)
- Cobalt Q-6 Slope (MSRP ~ $450)
- Garmin Approach Z82 (MSRP ~ $599)
Electric Caddies
E-caddy discount codes:
– BF-WISCO for $150 off Stewart Golf
– WISCOGOLFADDICT for 10% off BatCaddy
– wiscogolfaddict for $50 off Revolve
– WISCO for 5% off Super E-Caddy
– WISCOKAM10 for 10% off Kam Kaddie
– WISCOGOLF for $100 off CaddyTrek
I give my full thoughts on electric caddies in my E-Caddy Buying Guide, linked below, but obviously keep in mind this is likely going to be for THE most important person in your life – who is an avid walking golfer – as they carry a hefty price tag between $900-3300.
With another year of electric caddie use behind me, my three favorite carts are the Stewart Q Follow, BatCaddy X9R and the MotoCaddy M7.

Putters
No club is used more during a round of golf than the putter. Having a great putter is huge for a golfer to feel confident in their game and score their best. Below are my three favorite putters on the market today:
Meridian Putters
Based out of Brookfield, Wisconsin, and owned by Blue Mound member Ryan Duffey, Meridian Putters has exploded on the golf gear scene over the past few years.
I currently switch my bag setup between their Tybee model and an Edel Array. Meridian’s putters have an incredible feel at impact.

Golf Shoes
No golf enthusiast will ever have enough shoes. We may not always admit it, but we secretly love to accessorize and have options available for all of our outfits, and shoes are a big part of that.
The golf shoe industry has grown by leaps and bounds over recent years, with new entrants to the space specializing in comfort, style and function.
Looking for more great deals on golf shoes? Other golf shoe brands I’ve worn and recommend include:
- Tomo (link to review of the Tomo Bravo) – code Wisco for 15% off
- Duca del Cosma (link to review of men’s line)
ECCO
For the umpteenth year in a row, ECCO remains my number one shoe in golf. They are perfectly comfortable from the first wear on, are made to last and withstand the elements as well as any other shoe in golf with the possible exception of Merrell.

Link to most recent article/review
Merrell
New to the golf industry, Merrell broke into golf shoes this season with their Agility Peak 5 and Moab Speed 2 models.
Especially if you play a lot in cold or inclement weather, these kicks are ridiculously weather-proof and look awesome. Plus, if you’re a little on the shorter side they’ll add a good half-inch to your height.
Shown are my Moab Speed 2 Gore-Tex in Steel Blue.

Payntr
Payntr discount: 10% off with link/discount code WISCO10
Still fairly new to the scene, Payntr is possibly the hottest up-and-coming golf shoe brand on the market today with their X002’s, X004’s and others that are comfortable and look great while deeply rooted in enhancing the biomechanics of the golf swing.
That great comeback season Jason Day just had? He wears Payntr Eighty Seven SC’s.
